We could see it with the naked eye a mile from downtown Minneapolis, both on the ground and at home later through the window. It was like a red blob passing over downtown.

Got to see the SPRUCE project at Marcell Experimental Forest yesterday. The most impressive scientific apparatus I’ve seen and it’s not particularly close. So sad they’re wrapping up after this year, what a unique and special study

We’ve been having trouble telling how our boy is doing post-amputation because cats are so good at hiding things, but in the past few days our other cat has resumed charging at him and wrestling with him, and he started grooming her again, so I’m going to assume that means he’s good

Some positivity tonight, it’s been a week since Obi’s surgery and we’re letting him have supervised time outside of his recovery room. That meant cuddles during the game; he always comes to hang out on my lap when I’m watching a hockey game. It’s our first quality cuddle time since his amputation
