There will be plenty more data to go through on Monday, but here's something for this weekend! Voters showed up in big numbers Tuesday, and they came ready to rank in the St. Paul and Minneapolis mayoral elections. Over 90% of ballots were still active in the final round of counting in both cities!

Bloomington RCV tabulations came in last night! Of the three races on the ballot, one required additional rounds of counting. Congratulations to Dwayne Lowman on your victory in District 1!

With competitive races up and down the ballot, Minneapolis voters once again broke turnout records this election. RCV is allowing more and more candidates to run, and those candidates are continuing to engage more and more voters! #RankedChoiceVoting

We're here at the League of Women Voters Minneapolis's Parks Board forums at Central Library—starting with candidates from Districts 4 & 6!

Several districts have competitive 3+ way races, as does the citywide at-large race in which 3 candidates will be elected using proportional RCV.

In this year's RCV elections—especially in Mpls and St Paul—some have been urging ranking only one candidate in competitive elections, while others claim to have unlocked some secret to the system.

Ignore them. The only way to maximize your vote's power is to rank your favorite choices: 1, 2, 3.

Thank you for Minneapolis College for hosting a great event today on RCV! It was great to team up with the LWV and the Hennepin County and Minneapolis elections teams to give students the full RCV experience. We're looking forward to seeing students out there ranking their votes on Election Day!
