I tried watching some of that Metroid Prime 4 footage and GOD, I already can't stand this guy. I hope he leaves you alone after the tutorial area, but I'm not holding my breath.

I feel like this is one of the dangers of long development times. You start development with an idea that focus tests well, but by the time the game comes out, everyone's tired of that idea. Prime 4 started development 5 years after Avengers 1, but 8 years later everyone's sick of quippy characters.

I feel like this is one of the dangers of long development times. You start development with an idea that focus tests well, but by the time the game comes out, everyone's tired of that idea. I'm listening to a lot of System of a Down again, and it's crazy how their songs can range from the musical equivalent of a poli-sci essay with an annotated bibliography, to the musical equivalent of a Smiling Friends B plot.

If Square Enix didn't have the insane FFXIV revenue to fall back on, I seriously think that these constant Dr. Evil ass get rich quick schemes would have bankrupted them 5 times over by now.

I don't even live in America, but Zohran Mamdani winning is such a huge symbolic victory that I can't help but be ecstatic about it. It's a sign that things can actually get better despite what the barrage of daily negative headlines would make us believe.

I was wondering how tall the Smiling Friends are, and remembered that at the end of the episode with Shrimp, they say he's 4'6". Well, 4'6" in inches is 54 inches. If we divide Shrimp into 54 parts next to Charlie, Charlie measures up to roughly 84 inches, standing at about 7 feet tall. (1/2)
