Oh hey, this is very important. Masking shows you're compassionate ally for disabled communities, poor communities, + POC communities, as it is an intersection of access & class factors.
Also, western folks: worried about fascist changes in gov? Masking is a win-win to help boost community health.

Oh hey, this is very important. Masking shows you're compassionate ally for disabled communities, poor communities, + POC communities, as it is an intersection of access & class factors.

Is a super crinkly sounding sternum a connective tissue disorder thing? Lately I can literally just sneeze & my sternum *crackles* 🥴 In my mind I’ve convinced myself it’s the sound of fascia breaking, which seems… not great. It doesn’t really hurt when it happens. It’s a little sore though generally

Clarification after reviewing my CT scan and associated notes: I have MULTIPLE kidney stones bouncing around my kidneys, but they are not the cause of the pain 🥴 I know I’m autistic and take things literally but like isn’t there quite a difference between “no kidney stones” and MULTIPLE???
The good news is I don’t have a kidney stone. Highly surprising considering my history of stones + it’s been like 7 years since my last. Lesson to myself is to take blood in pee more seriously 🥴 I thought I was waiting to pass a stone but really it was a worsening bladder infection.

We really need everyone who can be masking, to mask in public. As an act of solidarity, to protect people around you who might be disabled, to continue to normalize it, and protect yourself. It's such a small ask. So many of us feel so alone and/or left behind and are shut out of many spaces.
I did end up going to the ER 😫 Signs were still up that said “Masks Required” but we were of course the only ones wearing n95s. About half of the healthcare providers I interacted with were masked in surgicals. The rest were unmasked. No front desk staff or security officers were wearing masks.
