Come 2029, the leaders of Northwestern and Columbia will be at the forefront of a PR speaking circuit to talk up how ethical and brave their actions were, and they’ll be invited by the other groups going by the same PR—round and round.
BREAKING: Northwestern University has agreed to pay the U.S. Treasury $75 million, over the course of three years as part of an agreement with the federal government to restore funding and end investigations into the university

“I'm gonna wait 'til the midnight hour
That's when my love comes tumbling down
I'm gonna wait 'til the midnight hour
When there's no one else around
I'm gonna take you, girl, and hold you
And do all the things I told you
In the midnight hour”

For years I've been meaning to read Thomas Ligotti. I'm over halfway through Songs of a Dead Dreamer and pretty underwhelmed. Seems overly clever and not gripping. What am I missing?

If Mike Johnson is going to suck Trump's cock like this in a public space he needs to report this to his son with that app they use to report to each other when they get freaky.

I see James Watson died. So it's time for a science joke.
"What did Watson and Crick discover?"
"Rosalind Franklin's notes."
Good joke.

Genuinely delighted to download a PhD thesis from a university repository where the author has neglected to remove the words "BITCH THIS IS YOUR THESIS" from the filename.

Please, for the love of all that is good, STOP with "I hope this letter finds you well." I already *know* you're relying on AI. You don't have to be so obvious.

My friend told me that her 14 year old son started doing laundry on Sundays for some of his elderly neighbors. He doesn't charge for the labor. And now he is the most popular person in the building and has non stop pies, cookies, and cake. The 14 year old should be our model of modern masculinity.

This is the same Speaker who has repeatedly refused to put up the congressionally-mandated plaque honoring the Capitol Police members who were viciously assaulted by MAGA goons on January 6th.

We've seen your deeds, you oily liar.

Lord give us the Democrats that Republicans warn us about.

That (NPR!) journalists think AI is a creative engine that can finesse iconic productions is not just context for the crap quality of writing in media but alarmingly the inability among a class of supposedly professional scrutinizers to distinguish between art and slop, good and bad, truth and lie
