ich finds schon spektakulär, dass das bundesverwaltungsgericht das obskure verbot von indymedia durchgewunken hat, aber seitdem mit den verbotsaufhebungen bei compact und jetzt hammerskins seinen hang zu technischen spitzfindigkeiten wiederentdeckt hat

It occurs to me that this is why Mamdani and AOC have been so energizing, as they have taken Bernie's revival meeting brand of traditional left culture and updated it for a new generation in a way that is savvy, compelling and above all fearless.
I think this helps explain both why the Dem leadership is so lost right now and why the base is so incensed.
Politics has shape-shifted from policy to culture, and after decades of internalizing the idea that they must run away from left culture, the Dem leadership is petrified of embracing it.
