Omg, I could form a posse 😮
The government could throw us a bone and call for a nationwide manhunt for Enoch Burke. Imagine the morale boost

The RTÉ player froze as Parrott ran into the box. Unfroze amid the celebrations.
Magic. Great job, RTÉ 👏

I'm convinced this sneaky cat peeking over the fence is a reference to the grassy knoll and some Very Important Pig is about to get offed.

Blueshirts always side with the fash. It's the entire foundation of the party.
Here are the Irish MEPs who just sided with the far-right (fascists, racists, sexists, homophobes, climate deniers) from across the EU

They've voted to gut protections that would have made businesses check and report their supply chains for child labour, human rights abuse or nature destruction

Wouldn’t expect to make €800 in 24 hours but any sales at all help reduce our debt!

We pay rent tomorrow, and even if the Rent-O-Meter doesn’t reach its goal we’ll still pay rent. Just a combination of help from family and taking on more debt.

I want to grab the internet by the shoulders, look it right in the eye and say I. DO. NOT. CARE what Americans think of British snacks or Irish names. I don't care what British people think of American building practices. PLEASE stop putting this shit in front of me.

Art buds; Are any of ye using Procreate for work?
I've had to do some Photoshop work recently and I hadn't realised just how shite the painting tools are compared to Procreate. Frustratingly bad.

I don't mean to be glib about peoples gender and identity but it's stuff like this that really makes me wish I was something else. Like, straight middle-aged man, but not THIS. Not this. Anything but this.
Still think of the male heritage practitioner who smugly wondered if he'd be welcome at our "Women in Heritage" event, then turned up loudly late, stretched his arms out so he took up three seats, went for coffee and loo breaks throughout, then did a "more of a statement than a question" thing.

Look, we know that there’s thousands of homes left intentionally vacant by investment funds to inflate the market. We know that we’ve rejected the advice of every report/research since the 2008 crash.

But have you considered that it might be refugees?

Hello it's me the leader of the party full of landlords that has been in power your whole adult life and created the housing crisis we now refuse to resolve.

I'm here to tell you it's actually the foreigners' fault.

My daughter had a dream in which there was a lion who "was doing", but then she shouted at the lion to "stop doing!" and it did. It stopped doing.
That's efficient story-telling.

Watching the latest episode of Grand Designs and I haven't despised the "client" this much for a long time. Hoping it all falls apart disastrously in the second half 🤞

There's a fierce annoying strain of language YouTubers who do this 'speak from day 1' bollocks which is basically just 'harass native speakers of that language into being your teacher by weaponising their politeness against them'.
eg. any "locals shocked when polyglot speaks their language" video.
9. Almost conversely, if you meet a native speaker who doesn't really want to speak Irish to you, try not to take it personally - there's a lot that comes with being a native speaker of a minoritised language and it's rarely if ever a reflection on your abilities.

One of the reasons some people spoiled their votes is because they are racist and antisemitic, and they even went as far as to write that on the ballot paper.
Haven't seen that discussed too much, I wonder why ...
Last weekend saw the highest-ever proportion of invalid ballots in Irish electoral history.

From a lack of perceived choices to anger with the government and its policies, our readers told us why they chose to spoil their votes:

I don't need to be faster than a Burke; I only need to be faster than you.
Don't get them wet.

Don't feed them after midnight.

Don't say "I'll be right back".

Don't be their friend, you know you'll only wake up outside a school in the morning...
