There was these sweets called Nerds, and they were phenomenal. Then there was a rumour that somebody put glass in them, they disappeared from the shops, and when they returned they never tasted the same.
Without revealing your actual age, what's something you remember that if you told a younger person they wouldn't understand?

If there was a child porn factory down the road, it’d be closed immediately.

The Govt’s response wouldn’t be “hang on, they let us print flyers there too”.

The Government and media who are locked in a rotten symbiosis on X, are trying to suggest something needs to investigated or discovered.

But all the relevant facts are both known and undisputed.

X dot com launched a paid-for feature that produces images of people undressed, including kids.

“We can’t leave the site that undresses thousands of women and children every day without their consent because we have a duty to report upon unfolding situation,” is quite a stance for the media to be taking.

The Sopranos is the easy choice here. Like, I love The Wire finale, but season 5 is jarring. Twin Peaks, both original and return are strong contenders too. Oh, and Bojack, that’s a perfect ending.
Given that apparently the Stranger Things finale was meh (idk, didn't watch it, just the scuttlebutt) and we're not that far removed from the disastrous GOT finale that retroactively made everyone have never cared about the show:

What's the *best* ending to a show you've ever seen? Quote/reply etc

My friend is a Dutch cheese and his wife left him for a mature cheddar. He’s devastated, doesn’t know what to do. I said he should focus on the kids and just try to be a Gouda.

Look, #speirgorm, I think we can all agree that things have gotten incrementally terrible over the past 15 years.

I think that part of the reason things feel hopeless is that all the problems are so complex. What I’m proposing is that we blame the guy that slipped on the ice for everything.

I have spoken with Secretary of State Marco Rubio and our Ambassador in Caracas. The EU is closely monitoring the situation in Venezuela.

The EU has repeatedly stated that Mr Maduro lacks legitimacy and has defended a peaceful transition. (1/2)

1 series, 20 episodes, thought it was amazing when I watched it in my teens. Refuse to watch it again because it most definitely is not amazing.

Interrailing in my early 20s. Our last stop was Amsterdam. First coffee shop we thought we’d be cool and smoke a full weed joint.

Pulled a whitey and Steve O from Jackass walked in. Watched him try to flick his flip flop onto his back for 10 minute while wondering if it was really happening.
Right folks. Feeling rather down at the moment so bringing back an oldie

James Ransone dying at 46 is such a shitty way to start the holidays.

Obviously, he was phenomenal in The Wire and Generation Kill, but he’s an actor that was just good in any role I’ve seen him play.

Mental health care provision is simply not fit for purpose, globally.

AI is the best illustration of late stage capitalism and its oligarchical nature.

Nobody wants their internet browser integrated with AI. Well, nobody except the handful of obscenely wealthy individuals that have invested heavily in AI.

The lesson, it doesn’t matter if we want it. They do.
NO ONE WANTS THIS! NO ONE!
It just keeps getting worse - Firefox to "evolve into a modern AI browser "

In truth, this is not far removed from what Labour were saying about immigration ten years ago.

It has always been acceptable to discriminate on the basis of perceived economic merits of immigrants.
