The thing is that if courts actually apply any semblance of standard copyright law, these companies cannot survive.

My fear is that states will start rewriting copyright laws to provide AI loopholes because they’ve already decided that it’s the next big thing.

Tech bros finally ran out of black mirror episodes to pilfer for “inspiration” and started trawling bad Christmas films 🤦

The left is a collective designed to prevent any individual from usurping a hegemonic, so-called “leadership,” role.

More proof that Tony Groves is part of the boss class. All he wants is for you to be disciplined by the other bosses, so that you internalise the idea that resistance is futile.

This is my openly racist AI generated song! And for me it's a symbol of my individuality, and my belief in personal freedom.

It’s a good analysis of why these people end up how they are, and of the growing industry of anti-academic publishing populated by disgraced former academics.

You should watch the video by @shaunvids.bsky.social on that. A complete and thorough destruction of the book’s arguments, its contributors, and the entire premise of it being anything to do with the actual problems harming scientific research.

This is a continuous issue in the FF/FG approach to housing. They use buzz words that sound like they’re addressing fundamental problems, but don’t actually meaning anything.

Like a few years ago when they kept trotting out “affordable housing”, which turned out to be properties costing €400,000.

What if it’s the case that a family member votes for Fine Gael every election, despite the fact that they live in rent controlled social housing that was built by their local council against the dictates of national FG policies?

And, of course, this represents the terrifying contradiction at the heart of modern existence in which we are anchored, by material need, to a world that is destroying us, piece by piece, yet yearn to savagely destroy all that tethers us to it. A world where civility is a barbarity to oneself.

He does - I’m going to use my inherited wealth to buy companies, and then take credit for the innovations of my employees, thereby creating the impression that I have actual skills/knowledge.

I mean, this has been every person still clinging to the Labour ship since Starmer became party leader and immediately started breaking the pledges that won him the leadership.

When Farage becomes PM, they will blame everyone other than themselves too. Zero capacity for self-reflection

TBH, I don’t see anyway that there isn’t going to be irrevocable harm done in the UK during the next few years.

Either Starmer or Streeting continue down the path of destruction they’re on, or this feud blows up the government, and they end up with Farage.
