Hard to argue that your focus as a government is security for people and then do this.
But the risk is that some of these positive changes to the system are over-shadowed by the big cuts to PIP and UC-health.

Overall, we estimate that low-to-middle income households are set to be worse off in 2029-30 as a result of these changes.

Is the data and reporting tail was wagging the subject assessments dog?!

@isaacmoore7.bsky.social posed this question in his session for researchED Birmingham on Saturday and there was a groan of agreement from colleagues.

Latest on our Substack - resuming our series on designing the perfect curriculum & assessment system.

Do we need to slim down the curriculum?

Depends what you mean. In one way I think it's a good idea - and in two other ways, it's terrible.

Great piece from Mark about developing cohesive long-form writers (and I am not just saying that as good essay writers become good journalists!)

Extraordinarily fortunate to have worked with four consecutive exceptional teachers who have guided me, helped me learn and questioned and developed my thinking. Delighted today to hear I passed my NPQH! I couldn’t have done it without them. Amanda, Ian, Martin, Davina - cheers to you!

I was diagnosed with HIV in 1998, when I was 30.
Many of my friends had died but I was told, with the new drugs available, I could expect to live another 20 years.
That was 27 years ago.

Honour those we lost.
Celebrate that we can now treat and prevent HIV.
Make HIV stigma history.
