This was supposed to be a “upbeat news heading into the holiday” but the shooting of our soldiers today caused it to take a turn. I thank @nicollewallace.bsky.social for allowing me to express my thanks to all our soldiers and families.

Girls face a different bind. They're encouraged to emulate “masculine” traits—assertiveness, confidence, dominance—to succeed in STEM, sports, work, and beyond ... girls frequently struggle to balance aggressive competitiveness with deferential femininity, a double standard boys don’t encounter.

"But these rigid gender ideals don’t leave room for boys to compete with girls as equals in the classroom, or later, as adults, the workplace. As a result, boys often experience cross-gender competition as confusing, shameful, or as a test of masculinity rather than a test of skill."

This is nuts!

Why is WAPO writing up anyone’s speculation about who the suspect might be?

I get that Laura’s statements and actions are at times newsworthy given her influence on Trump, but no one’s speculation — outside of a government official’s — should be written up this way.

Because an LLM (chatbot) - as most people interact with it - is a conglomeration of AI/ML components glommed to an LLM.

And an LLM doesn't "think" or "feel" or "reason."

You might be induced to believe it does those things, but I promise you my research and data bear out the opposite conclusion.

About a month ago, my niece who was adopted by my cousing when she was 8 months old. Was sworn in and
has her papers was almost taken by ICE. If you're in
PGH, there's a white van riding around looking to take
people. Luckly she's safe. She should have always been
safe. She's legal.
I need everybody to read this and understand what’s going on. These are spouses of US citizens in the country legally. They have entry clearance and green cards, they’ve passed background checks and have no criminal records. ICE is taking them anyway.

Don’t forget that *Trump’s own lawyer’s argument* to the Supreme Court in the immunity case was that the check on the President using his immunity to order criminal acts was that those under him would not follow illegal orders. Now it’s a crime for lawmakers to remind servicemembers of that?
The President doesn't want you standing up and speaking out against him, so he's coming after me to intimidate all of us.

But I won't back down — and neither should you.
