30,000,000 Bluesky accounts. Every one of us should be flying the Ukrainian flag. It’s a modest but visible act of support, as well as resistance.

Please join me and repost.

Anybody who parrots the talking point that our current inequality "has always been the norm in America" is actually using Capitalism’s propaganda

The inequality of the past 45 years is NOT normal American inequality. It is not normal inequality in Europe either. It’s a parasite on the middle class.

Obama and Biden may think they are honoring the office of the presidency by keeping quiet at a moment like this — if so that’s just preening vanity — they owe it to the office and to the Republic that until last month it served to speak up loudly and clearly and without relent.

50% of babies are born on Medicaid.

Medicaid covered both my births while I was working class and then later when I was a student.

50%

They do it so babies get proper prenatal treatment bc NOT getting it cost society way more.

Relevant History: The Pendleton Civil Service Reform Act of 1883 established the first comprehensive merit-based civil service system in the US.

It was intended to do away with "The Spoils System" whereby unqualified people got govt jobs for their political loyalty, a bad system we've returned to.

Arizona AG Kris Mayes, New Mexico AG Raul Torrez, and Oregon AG Dan Rayfield will begin holding Community Impact Hearings — a national series of townhalls "to hear from the public about the impact of federal firings and DOGE funding freezes across the country."

The first will be in Phoenix March 5.

Every opinion piece in the Washington Post must now follow Bezos' new rightwing guidelines. Writers can say that they would have written the same thing anyway, but the fact remains: Their piece was only published because it met his new rightwing guidelines.

Support independent, pro-democracy media.

So increasing the minimum wage to a livable wage is “socialism”?

But Amazon union busting, keeping wages low, and forcing workers onto public assistance while its founder increases his net worth by $7.9M an hour is the "free market"?

Perhaps this could be a WaPo opinion piece.

In the depths of the Nebraskan winter, 2400 people came out to listen to Bernie Sanders in Omaha last night.

800 had to be turned away at the door. Over 190,000 tuned into the livestream.

There is a movement to be harnessed here.
