An American in Sweden. Netrunner, cats, and leftist outrage.
Every time I get mad at some bullshit random grammar rule in my Swedish learning journey, I have to stop myself and ask if it's the same or worse in English, and let me tell you it almost always is.

They said "We're too big to fail".

We said "If you don't lose you'll never learn".

"Oh we'll learn," they said. "Trust us."

If you make and show me a Sora 2 video I want you to know I think of you as infinitely less important than a worm, whose movements and excrement nuture the soil, whereas a Sora 2 user is a creature that asks robots to despoil the world out of boredom.

Ope this is going off

Ok folks! My Congressman is a MAGA clown who's on multiple ag committees.

As a farmer, I need ag policymakers who tell Trump no.

So for every donation to Kim Hardy, who's running against my
Congressman, I will post one (1) ag fact.

Help Kimberly flip NC-07!

Imagine spending ten billion dollars to try and save twenty million dollars, and then failing in the exact way the haters said you would.

And techbros wonder why everyone thinks they're a joke ...

Ten years ago we were installing a GW of solar power every week. Now we are doing it every *12 hours*.
Please give me an unironic list of things that have gotten better over the last ten years because I’m spiraling.

I’ll start: you can buy an enormous TV from Costco for like $100 bucks now.

There are so many, but I keep coming back to when they bombed that hospital in the first days of the conflict.

They came up with a dozen lies in 24 hours, and seeing the media blindly swallow each one made me realize that they would not see any real consequences for their actions.
What is the one atrocity Zionists have committed in the past 22 months that you think about the most?

We have a societal and educational crisis on our hands of people not understanding what LLMs are and are not, can and cannot do. It's impacting economics, the job market, art, mental health, and business at all levels. If you think I'm an AI skeptic because I don't understand them, think again.

There are so many, but Rakesfall by @vajra.me is one that I'll be re-reading for years to come. If you love reading, you need to read this book.

Toejam & Earl on the Sega Genesis. The high-level enemies (crazed dentists and phantom ice cream trucks) were a staple of my 8-year-old nightmares.
What was the first video game that scared you?

It doesn't have to be a horror game. Maybe you didn't even play it -- plenty of ads freaked me out as a kid.

Even if you ignore all of the other idiocy, "Hamas didn't build magical bomb shields to stop our bombs so they're really the ones at fault" is one hell of a take.
How is it possible that Jonathan Greenblatt hasn’t read the United Nations definition of genocide? It was codified in 1948.

there is no route through the control of pornography and queer views that doesn't have an endpoint in the erasure of non heteronormative public life and domestic slavery of women; they are part and parcel of the modern patriarchial social complex

Maybe we could find out.

Mastercard (US): 1-800-627-8372
Mastercard (Int.): +1-636-722-7111
Visa (US + Can): 1 800 847 2911
Visa (AUS): 1 800 125 440
PayPal: +44-0203-901-7000
Collective Shout, the group that took credit for bullying Mastercard into recently censoring more platforms, stated that apparently it took them ~1000 phonecalls to convince them to give them what they wanted?

We got like way more people than that don't we?
ok then. one angle of attack then needs to be actively bombarding Visa and Mastercard's phone numbers and emails.

are customer support phone numbers/emails the best avenue to start with or is there a better option?

As someone who chose not to have kids, I would absolutely love to pay higher taxes if this is what they funded. A society that takes care of its children is a society that thrives.
Universal childcare would be one of the best ways to stimulate the economy. Studies have shown an increase in workplace participation and wages. For kids, it helps foster development. The ROI on childcare is insane.

Ebook sale! For the next ten days, Solaris is selling (giving away, really) an excellent selection of modern SFF titles at 0.99p in the UK, including both of my novels, THE SAINT OF BRIGHT DOORS and RAKESFALL. See geni.us/Solarissale! Some titles are available outside the UK, too.
