Sorry to burden you with another jaw-dropping scandal. But what the government intends to do to chemicals regulation in the UK is chilling. Its consultation was slipped out so quietly that most of us missed it. When I read it, I saw why.

Want to import toxic chemicals into Britain with scant scrutiny? Labour says: go right ahead | George Monbiot
Jacob Rees-Mogg’s Tory fantasy of a post-Brexit bonfire of regulations is coming true. Our bodies and ecosystems will pay the price, says Guardian columnist George Monbiot

Hey, UK media!
Are you just going to let Farage dump another steaming pile of populist bullshit on us *without ever* properly scrutinising his ideas or him…his funding, his riots, his links to Putin and Trump, his Brexit shitshow, his grifting side gigs, his lies, his ignorance…?

There is a lot of deflection taking place by politicians this morning, suggesting that the court kept the superinjunction in place and that had to be overcome.

That's not true or not complete- the government kept it in place by repeatedly applying for its renewal.

Rachel Reeves says the UK is open for business with the US, EU and India deals:

But we only get £22 billion:
- £3.4 billion from UK-US tariff deal
- £14 billion from UK-EU reset
- £4.8 billion from UK-India

Rejoining the EU Single Market would give us £140 billion

First past the post is bad enough, ‘safe seats’ like Tatton are an insult to democracy but this practice of jumping ship after you’ve been voted in, is pure pisstaking. If you defect, your seat should be up for grabs. Voters deserve better than this. Even in rock solid Tory Tatton.
Odds on Esther McVey defecting to Reform UK today?

But will anyone listen?🥺The BBC consistently provide a platform for ReformUK. Other MSM do likewise thus making them acceptable. If only they would examine their utterances & make them totally accountable in the way they do the Lib Dem’s & Greens!☹️
Reform has lost 11 councillors and 2 MPs in a matter of months… and when I say ‘lost’ I mean, they’ve quit following rows, impropriety or inability to do their jobs.
So, if Brexit weren’t proof enough, then this barrelling shitshow should confirm forever that they should be nowhere near govt.

Ok, British media. You have here all the information you need to scrutinise Farage/Reform’s latest populist, headline-grabbing tosh.
If you’re still handing out free ‘Robin Hood’ passes to them now we have the details, then you are actively deceiving voters and undermining democracy.
Just don’t.
Reform UK is proposing a "Britannia card" that would let wealthy foreigners pay a £250k fee to move to the UK, and live here exempt from all tax on their foreign assets

What they don't say: it would cost the UK £34bn
