years and years ago i kinda figured that Fandom as a cultural entity was doomed when i realized that statements like "we should have realistic expectations about this upcoming thing given the company is well known for cheaping out" was seen as 'downer sentiment' and 'harshing the vibe'

I actually think its entirely sinister and diabolical that journalism has intentionally paywalled access to restrict the flow of information, and turned knowledge of current events into a matter of "lack of education." obviously there has been an attack on education but this is a journalistic attack
