since the ceasefire was announced in October, donations to the Hajjaj family's campaign have flatlined. Abod is digging deep into his evacuation funds to pay for daily survival.

over 3000 in 24 hours is crazy!! Taggy is not doing well but this gives me hope.

If we can get to ~6,800, it would be -just- enough to rush him in and only put us into some debt. from there we could rely on the rest of the donations coming in after to cover bills, and be on less of a time limit.

screencapped portion of my blog, which reads as follows: "now we're talkin! this is the first pose that i felt had some potential. blog 12/22/25 i'm currently participating in brush week 2025, an art challenge where you redesign your character with a new theme. while i drew my design for the "wretched" brush, i thought it'd be fun to take some photos and talk through my cartooning process. here are my initial sketches. these were the first things i drew all day, so they were a bit stiff. at this stage, i don't erase much. you can see multiple ideas for limb placement and shapes laid on top of each other. any one of those lines could end up being interesting, so i keep them all. i drew a bunch of gestures until i hit on something i liked. now we're talkin! this is the first pose that i felt had some potential. at this point i stopped, took a step back, and considered the composition of the sketch. here are some of the strengths and weaknesses i identified. (a drawing with labels that read: a) this would read more clearly if the staff didn't overlap with the horns and hands b) i don't love the overlap of the ears and arm here c) i didn't intend for this line of action (from the arm thru the tail) but i like it so i want to emphasize it d) the angles of the feet are dynamic but the feet themselves aren't very interesting, i want to make them a more fun shape) there are plenty of anatomical "errors" here. like, the haunches in this sketch make NO sense - if an animal's leg rotated that far, it would be an indication of a serious medical issue! but cartoons are abstract art. i'm not drawing for accuracy, i'm drawing to evoke energy and motion. the legs read well; therefore, i will keep them."

Obviously, this is amazing BUT the thing I love most, is that it's directly poking fun at the desire/fetish to overanimate overlapping action & smears.
