Sic Semper Tyrannis Democrat. White guy who believes white male supremacy is the single greatest threat to our republic.
Marjorie Taylor Greene bullied school shooting victims, and bragged about it.
Marjorie Taylor Greene on CNN: "I feel very sorry for President Trump. I genuinely do. It has to be a hard place for someone that is constantly so hateful and puts so much vitriol, name calling, and really tells lies about people in order to try to get his way."

The thing that’s now true of both the President of the United States and the NATO Secretary General is that they are both liabilities to the strategic purpose of NATO.
Trump: "NATO calls me daddy."

This Democrat held the line on the Affordable Care Act in 2010 when multiple Senate Democrats thought this was way too hard to do in 2025.
Former Rep. Tom Perriello, a Virginia Democrat who won his sole term in a huge 2008 upset, unexpectedly announces campaign against GOP Rep. John McGuire. Trump carried the current version of #VA05 56-43, but it could look a lot different if Democrats convince voters to approve a new map this spring.

I don't know what she expected from someone who tried to have his own Vice President lynched.
Marjorie Taylor Greene claims she shared with Trump death threat she received that he incited, and his response was "extremely unkind"

We need a Democratic candidate that makes this family consider going into exile.

You just have to completely memory hole the fact that the war in Ukraine began with Russia attempting to take Kyiv with an armored convoy that was 64 kilometers long for this to sound credible.

The plan at the onset of the invasion was taking all of Ukraine, and Russia’s ambitions haven’t changed.
I think we are now on the last 10 meters to the end of the war: if the issues of control over Donbas and ZNPP are resolved, then the rest will "fall into place," — Kellogg.

Please stop. Enough.

The White House released a proclamation declaring December 7th to be “National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day” a couple days ago, which was respectful of our modern day close partnership with Japan and even named the right Hawaiian island that was attacked.

So obviously Donald Trump didn’t write it.
What will Trump's Pearl Harbor message look like?

This would be a scandal and a sign of demonstrably weak leadership under a Democratic president, by the way.
Kremlin: The new US security strategy is “largely aligned” with Russia’s vision.

I cannot emphasize enough that if this becomes United States military doctrine, this endangers our military personnel across the globe.

If the presence of the United States military is regarded as a force that kills indiscriminately, other actors will update their tactics/responses accordingly.
“Kill all boats no matter where they are going or what they possess” isn’t a strategy, it’s just a killing spree
WELKER: Is there any hard evidence showing this particular boat was headed to the US?

TOM COTTON: That didn't come up in my briefing

WELKER: Are you comfortable having the US target a boat that you're not sure is heading to the US?

COTTON: I'm not just comfortable with it -- I want to continue it

The person using their official, government name email address to engage in insanely racist commentary is the one who is actually abusing their platform.
never more tempted to abuse my platform than when someone sends me some insanely racist comment using their official, government name email address.

The kind of Democratic candidate I’m looking for at this point is one who will follow through on a promise to make the day he’s no longer among us a national holiday.
The Trump admin just changed which days Americans can visit national parks for free next year — removing Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Juneteenth and adding Trump's birthday.
December 6, 2025 at 9:50 PM
Yep. Have been trying to stress this point.

Boats alleged to be carrying drugs is an issue 1) traditionally handled by maritime law enforcement and 2) the proportionate tactic is interdiction.

Every strike that has been committed has been out of proportion, not just the strike to kill survivors.
Once the debate centers on whether the 2nd strike was legal, the first 21 strikes have been accepted as baseline. But the murder of the two survivors doesn’t make the other 21 any more legal. Selective outrage, not silence, is how authoritarianism becomes normalized @tadstoermer.bsky.social

That the Supreme Court took up the issue of the legality of Donald Trump's birthright citizenship order at all is proof that originalism as a judicial philosophy was never operating on the level.
It starts with knowing the truth. Don’t allow yourselves to be gaslit into believing this is a real question.

A lot of Democrats ask MAGA folks "Give me an example of how Donald Trump has made your life better."

They did NOT vote for Donald Trump based on the idea that he'd make their lives better.

They voted for Donald Trump based on the idea that he'd make *those* people's lives worse.
By the way I tried doing this, and @sykescharlie.bsky.social is right, it's highly unnerving/revealing:
"If you do a Google search for 'ICE raid this is what I voted for' you will get a quick sense of how MAGA supporters are celebrating the cruelty of Trump’s deportation regime."

Good @sykescharlie.bsky.social roundup on MAGA sadism here (includes our pod):

This U.S. administration would’ve fought World War II as an Axis power.
This U.S. administration would've lost World War II, if they'd even bothered to fight it. More likely, they would have cut deals with all the dictators to steal everyone's natural resources.

If you thought the plot of Metal Gear Solid 4 was dystopian—where the world's economy was sustained by continuous warfare among private military companies—get ready for a world where United States military battlefield decisions might be based on placating right-wing social media influencers.
Come to think of it, Pete Hegseth just admitted openly that they're committing extrajudicial murders in international waters partly in order to please MAGA influencers that want retribution for political attacks on Pete Hegseth:
Sadism is the lifeblood of MAGA politics. Hard to overstate how disgusting and embarrassing for our country it is for the US Secretary of Defense to be doing this:

We're supposed to be using this information about Donald Trump as a reason that he should resign, by the way.
The most genuinely human Trump ever seems to me is when he’s desperately fighting to stay awake.

It bothers me that she didn't explicitly foreground the most important information, which is that Donald Trump pondering the idea of starting a land war against Venezuela is a sign that he's completely insane.
Slotkin: "If there's an idea that we're gonna go start a land war against Venezuela -- and just remember, the military of Venezuela is not comparable to the military of the US -- if we're gonna do that, then that should come to Congress."

Russian aggression against the European continent could have been stopped dead in its tracks if we just gave sufficient weapon systems to Ukraine, and allowed those weapon systems to open fire deep into Russian territory.
Russian state tv is propagandizing this idea all over the place:

“Perhaps Russia and the United States will decide the fate of Europe without it. This is a very possible prospect”
December 5, 2025 at 7:14 AM
There are people characterizing Donald Trump as a "colonizer" in the comments, and it's a correct characterization... but it's an incomplete one.

Donald Trump is an aspiring imperialist.

He wants to see the US conquer new territory, and he wants what Russia has traditionally had... client states.
Trump:

“We will be sending our biggest companies to the Congo and Rwanda.

We will take out some of the rare earth, and take out some of the assets.

Everybody will make a lot of money.”
December 5, 2025 at 6:56 AM
Yep, it's mutually exclusive. Unfortunately, we don't have Democratic leaders prepared to confront this reality. Our House minority leader just yesterday was like "Donald Trump pardoning this corruption was good actually."
When I say that either the GOP or the Republic can survive, but not both, this is what I mean: Cotton certainly knows this is not remotely lawful. But laws mean nothing to the GOP at this point: the law is what the GOP does in their eyes.
Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.), to reporters, after viewing video footage of the U.S. strikes on alleged drug boats in the Caribbean on Sept. 2:

"Righteous strikes." "Entirely lawful."

You have to bear in mind that Donald Trump being against the Iraq War was a total lie, which was originally exposed by BuzzFeed News reporting.
