Opioids+linezolid=serotonin syndrome risk, but it’s rare (<5%) & mainly involves highly serotonergic opioids (fentanyl, methadone, tramadol). Risk ↓↓w/ HM or morphine. W/o other serotonergic drugs, risk↓further. Linezolid=weak MAOI that ↑ serotonin by inhibiting monoamine oxidase #medsky #rxsky 1/5
