The unifying aim of all Trump pronouncements and actions is to trash the constitution and impose a white supremacist militarized autocracy by EO and truth social decree - the latest attack on naturalization and birthright citizenship is an ugly new escalation of that barbaric aim.

This is unhinged, unadulterated white nationalism that is so off-the-charts fascist not even David Duke would have said that in public.

A reminder: Trump 1.0 ordered the Afghanistan withdrawal, and Trump 2.0 granted the shooter asylum this past April. Trump 2.0 also dismantled the joint terrorism task force, and gutted our national security apparatus.

Three things about the Witkoff tapes:

1) It appears Western intelligence services have decided to let Witkoff (and Trump) know they have recordings of their traitorous conversations w/Russia.

2) This Ukraine "deal" was all Witkoff's idea.

3) Congressional leaders should demand he be fired.

I really don’t think we can overstate the harm that the tech ethos of move fast and break things (followed by the unsaid “and then just move on”) has done beyond tech. Government, ngos, universities, public schools that have invited the folks who think like this in keep ending up gutted
All DOGE accomplished was purging critical government staff, handing private data to outsiders, and sentencing thousands in developing countries to death by gutting USAID.

I don’t say this lightly: if there were any justice in this world, the people responsible for this devastation would be in jail
DOGE 'doesn't exist' with eight months left on its charter
U.S. President Donald Trump's Department of Government Efficiency has disbanded with eight months left to its mandate.

The "peace president."
Really looks like the United States is about to launch a regime change war against Venezuela with:

-No casus belli
-No authorization from Congress
-No allies or international support
-No plan for a post-Maduro Venezuela
-No preparation for any sort of stabilization or containment of the fallout

The VP, chief of staff, national security advisor, comms director, secretary of state, defense secretary, DHS secretary, attorney general, national security advisor.

And many more.

They’re going to steal elections. Blue states MUST return to paper ballots. This is not a drill.
"Public records suggest that roughly 1,000 CISA employees have lost their jobs... The Republican administration in March cut $10 million from two cybersecurity initiatives, including one dedicated to helping state and local election officials."

"CISA is still without an official director."
Big changes to the agency charged with securing elections lead to midterm worries
The federal agency that oversees the security of election systems was largely absent from planning before elections this month in several states.

Why is the WH pushing Ukraine to accept a Russian plan that paves the way for another war? The document offers some hints, declaring that the U.S. would also somehow take charge of the $100 billion in frozen Russian assets supposedly to invest this money in Ukraine and receive “50% of the profits.”
For a decade, Russia has been seeking to divide Europe and America, to undermine NATO and weaken the transatlantic alliance. This peace plan, if accepted, will achieve that goal.

On the patently unlawful boat strikes

It's hard for USGs to claim ‘mistake of law’ or ‘advice of counsel’ – when they’re firing lawyers who wouldn't sign off on the strikes.

WaPo's new revelations on firings or removals:

1) CIA General Counsel
2) NSC Legal Adviser
3) CIA Mission Center’s lawyer

White House blew past legal concerns in deadly strikes on drug boats
The Trump administration sidestepped skeptical lawyers across national security agencies as it pursued a military campaign against alleged narcotraffickers, officials say.

- abandon Ukraine and eventually NATO
- tariffs break down US global econ power, trash alliances
- vaporize our soft power - USAID, etc
- disable cyber protections
- promote anti-vax

If you receive an illegal order, you have a duty to disobey.

This isn’t controversial.

A President calling for the execution of anyone who reminds service members of this oath is showing us why the duty to disobey illegal orders is so important in the first place.
