The Education Minister is due to announce a 'refreshed' social studies curriculum on Tuesday with the Aotearoa NZ histories curriculum likely to be significantly watered down.

Jim Bolger's advocacy for facing up to out history will be trampled on if that is the case.

Marking #Wwise projects is feeling nice and speedy partly thanks to assigning some handy preferred key shortcuts for maximising the primary editor, closing windows etc and also having the handy "Modified" button in the Property Editor

Having a pleasant, war-ravaged morning writing news stories. Ate my war-ravaged breakfast. Wife's out of the house at the moment, spending time with her friends at the war-ravaged Friends Of The Library store she volunteers at. I take a sip of my coffee. Mmm! War-ravaged!

Had to witness this for myself – it’s real, and even worse as seen from the footpath.

(Context: these narrow back-streets had a community-supported 30kmh speed limit… but in mid-2025, were forcibly reverted to 50kmh by the current govt.)

Dangerous, petty, ridiculous kneejerk vice-signalling, ugh.

Nice to be back at #NZGDC. Great solid specific #gameaudio presentations from @vius.bsky.social and #NZSO ‘s Claire Wackrow this morning, and so nice to have those conversations with dev teams and audio friends.

Peters got mad when he was asked to wear hi-viz inside the CRL; said he worked on the Snowy Mountain tunnels in Australia back in the day and "no-one benefits" from this.

Harvard has set an example for other higher-ed institutions - rejecting an unlawful and ham-handed attempt to stifle academic freedom, while taking steps to make sure students can benefit from an environment of intellectual inquiry, rigorous debate and mutual respect. Let’s hope others follow suit.

Great idea.
We should collect all the extraneous esses used at the end of Tesco in Britain and send them to the USA to be used at the end of math.

As someone who cares a ton about footstep sounds in games (probably too much honestly), I'm always so happy when I see streamers, or other non-game dev/audio people mention them.
