On the one hand, I'm at the dentist on a Monday morning running off of 4.5 hours of sleep BUT I just got an email announcing that the first annual Billy Joel Symposium is accepting submissions for papers on topics like "Joel in film, television, and cultural memory," so things might be looking up!

The new arms race in my house is that my wife tells me about Heated Rivalry plot beats and I retaliate by making her watch scenes from Shoresy. The peace is tenuous... but so far it holds.
