TIL I learned that Logic has a limit to how many plugins you can put on one track....
Kind of impressed it took me so many years to get to this point.

Yay! Had a bunch of fun writing some music for @dirtbag-mahjong.bsky.social. Found myself dancing quite a bit while working on it which is always a vibe.
It's also a nice excuse to actually learn how to play mahjong! I've tried and failed too many times in the past.

So much cool stuff happening the past few days! First there was a huge influx of new support for Nocturne by @pracystudios.bsky.social. I actually still can't believe how many people have been checking out the demo and leaving very kind comments. It almost feels surreal.

People sometimes send me links and memes of stuff that makes them think of me and I try to take note when that happens. It's a really good way to keep track of how much hinge I lose over time

Yeah, don't focus on the comments or the numbers... but seeing huge amounts of people super excited about something you've been working on is a nice feeling

I'm not sure how universal of an experience this is or not, but I hate the pressure that can be put on hobbies to be productive. Either through monetization, skill improvement, or tangible benefit. Just let people do things for the sake of wanting to do them.

One of the coolest things to me about creative people is when you can literally watch ideas mature and evolve through subsequent works they release. See how their style and voice grows and changes into something new, but still solidly rooted in themselves.

I think one of the things I appreciated so much about Reze Arc is how much it allowed things to be expressed through visual storytelling.
I'm sure someone else can articulate that more accurately than I can. But I just get so tired of things being expressed directly by characters.

I beat Potionomics. That was a really fun, cute game. I thought the difficulty balance was well done too. I was able to beat it without too much stress and I know I was far from a perfect run, but it was still challenging.

I have two original music projects I've been working on for a while that I haven't had time to do anything with recently. I think I'm finally going to have a chance to put more into them this week though and I'm excited.

Oh my god, Reze arc movie was one of my favorite things I've ever seen. Maybe I'm biased having been waiting for this adaptation for years, but it was so incredibly good. In just so many ways. Beyond words for me.

Imagine playing a game, thinking you've found the character of your dreams to date. Going through their quest line, making the choice to commit to a relationship with them... only to find out during the quest after that they choose froyo over ice cream? I've never felt so betrayed.
