“We fought for you. Republicans fought for tax breaks for the rich and powerful.”

The more democratic elements of the American constitutional and economic order are actually throwing up road blocks to Trumpism. Protests and boycotts and low level courts and juries and cetera. Elite actors on the other hand are all too frequently caving. Fascinating study in who actually cares!

Catastrophic nature loss is at least as serious a problem as climate breakdown, but only gets a fraction of the (woefully inadequate) attention.

THE most critical tasks of our time are:
• Protect what remains of wild ecosystems
• Mass rewilding where damaged or lost

First take out of court: We could get as much as a 9-0 judgment against Trump; the only real question in my mind is whether the rationale is purely based on the statute or if it relies upon some major questions doctrine/nondelegation reasoning.

Questions at oral arguments can be misleading. Sometimes judges play devil’s advocate. This doesn’t appear to be one of those times.
If I had to guess right now (and it is premature!) I'd say the Supreme Court is going to strike down Trump's tariffs.

All three liberals are clearly against the government. Barrett too. Roberts leaning that way. And we haven't even gotten to tax-hater Gorsuch yet.
