The headline has to be "Justice Department released Epstein files but illegally redacts 'politically exposed individuals'," right?

Like surely they can't just ignore the law, redact their friends, and get away with it because news agencies will pretend the crystal-clear law is unclear?

Want a vote to impeach Trump? Bondi? Patel? Make a committee investigate or draft articles for you? Appoint managers Johnson doesn't want?

Repeat after me: "Mr. Speaker, pursuant to clause 2(a)(1) of Rule IX, I rise to give notice of my intention to raise a question of the privileges of the House."

*taps sign*

Any individual member of the House can force a vote on impeachments and anything impeachment-related.
Breaking:

Rep. Ro Khanna says the Trump DOJ's production "does not comply with" the Epstein Files Transparency Act.

Khanna says he and Rep. Thomas Massie "are exploring all options" — including impeachment of DOJ officials, inherent contempt, or referring individuals for obstruction of justice.

I don't do much looking back at my own writing, but I've been thinking about this piece a lot today. From tenderly protecting Trump from criminal consequences to enthusiastically helping him dismantle the administrative state, Roberts owns it all.

CNN put together this list of 53 times Trump promised he would end the war in his first 24 hours. It will be so easy, he bragged.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Friday that it’s up to Ukraine and Russia to hammer out a deal to end the ongoing war, which started in 2022 with Russia's full-scale invasion.

So the Epstein Files are:
–not complete
–comically redacted
–not in a “searchable” format

The Trump-Vance administration had months to recover from the embarrassing influencer binder photo-op and this is what they came up with.

This is what they think of you

For the past 25 years, Keith Gavin practiced Islam inside the walls of death row. But his final moments were spent in a battle for religious respect, with prison officials denying him a halal final meal and the chance to pray properly before execution.
Before Executing a Muslim Man, Alabama Denied Many of His Final Religious Requests
Keith Gavin made a number of requests about his final moments, all stemming from his Islamic faith. But the prison largely ignored them, as it has with Muslim prisoners in the past.

A lot of folks are going to be surprised by how much of Project 2025 the Democrats will keep if they are able to regain power.
Expect the Democrats to delve deeper into their open collaboration with the GOP and ultimately abandon symbolic opposition to announce more mergers. Eventually, they won't have to pretend anymore because they've successfully shifted their base further into far-right politics.
“Democrats, already planning their comeback after being swept out of power in Washington last month, say they'll oppose President-elect Donald Trump and his allies when their values collide but are open to cooperation on a range of issues, including immigration, federal spending and entitlements.“ 🫠

Republicans voted to install a documented anti-science, anti-vaccine lawyer as head of HHS.

Republicans sit by as he destroys public health and makes decisions that are already killing infants and will only kill more.

All of what is about to happen is preventable. Remember who did this.

The NYT is repeating industry propaganda. Less than 10% of the methane emissions from oil and gas production in the US come from leaks. The rest is intentional.

"Stopping leaks is seen as one of the most easily achievable climate fixes."

The idea that this is an easy fix is a lie.

And this is just silly. So the US is ok if they leave the regs in place as long as there are no penalties.

"Short of a repeal of the law, the United States wants American oil and gas companies to be exempted from any penalties"

Exempt from penalties is another way of saying above the law.
