WHOA. The FBI was/is spying on a Signal chat for a New York immigration court watch group, claiming they were “anarchist violent extremist actors.”

Your reminder that the government is watching and don’t say anything in a big group chat you wouldn’t say on TV.

I hate that in local news, sometimes the most common type of disability story will be the very, VERY rare cases of disability fraud.

Disabled people live interesting lives and are impacted by so many things, yet the focus is on these rare events.

NEW: The Court has ruled that the National Guard deployment to DC is illegal and granted a preliminary injunction.

As we made clear from the beginning: the US military should not be policing American citizens on American soil.

This is a victory for DC, Home Rule, and American democracy.

Trump's Transportation Secretary on how to improve air travel:

"People dress up like they're going to bed when they fly... We want to push people as we come into a really busy travel season, help people out, be in a good mood, dress up"

The typical joke is that they don’t have a health care plan and they’ll never have one.

But they do and it passed last July: taking away four people’s health care to pay for a tax cut for one millionaire family.

The data also show alarming developments in Black women’s employment. Black women’s unemployment rate skyrocketed to 7.5% in September, driven by Black women joining the labor market but not finding jobs. 4/9

Savoring this update on a battle that we worked so hard to win. It means dignity—not destitution—for up to 1.5 million older workers who become disabled & for their families, too.

Keep hoping, keep fighting, and celebrate every victory. 🎉

All eyes on Missouri where Republicans are taking every opportunity to ignore voters
Missouri’s referendum on minimum wage and paid sick leave last year won by a margin of 58 to 42 percent statewide. Under a proposal advanced by the GOP, it would have failed because it didn’t win more than 50 percent in every congressional district.
Under this GOP Measure, All of Missouri’s Recent Popular Initiatives Would Have Failed
Lawmakers just advanced a constitutional amendment to drastically raise the bar for approving citizen ballot measures. Voters get to weigh in on the scheme next year.
