This was a great find. We are trying to refurbish the house and get rid of the gross af carpet it came with. We are trying to raise $500 to turn our back porch into a 200sqft catio for the cats while we work on the house. Can you help?
I found a guy in Cotati that had an insane deal on aviary wire, so we picked up the few rolls we need to build the catio for an absolutely fantastic price!! We just need to raise about $500 for the rest of the supplies and we’ll be able to build a large catio for the kitties.

I feel like my plant loving friends will appreciate how terrible this is:
Our backyard consists of foxtails, Himalayan blackberry, and running bamboo.
I thought the bamboo was clustering bamboo, because who would intentionally plant running bamboo? But, alas.

I emailed a Cornell researcher who's working on a vaccine for avian influenza in cats to see if there was an off chance that my surviving cats could help, and they wrote back to me that they think blood samples might help with the research!

Perpetually worried that I’ve destroyed our ability to fund the rescue by leaving Twitter, but I’ve been on it blocking people every day since I left, in the hopes of making it marginally more pleasant to use, and have not even made a dent. Got a cargo net and had Chris attach it to the guest room bed frame, thinking it would be a genius storage idea while I’m cleaning and going through the old plush Chris brought back from my family’s storage…. But now I’m worried about accidentally murdering guests. 😬

I’ve been struggling to get anything else done lately because aside from cat stuff, I’m trying to go through all the boxes of old toys that Chris brought back from my family’s storage unit in Texas. I’m separating stuff into keep/yard sale/sell online, but there’s so much it’s a little ridiculous.

Happy Halloween!! This has always been my favorite holiday.
I didn’t have time to do new art this year for it, but here’s our yard setup. Unfortunately, not many trick or treaters so far and I really don’t need to be eating this much candy. 🥲
