These guys! They have SO many growing teenage kittens that need homes right now.

The bamboo and blackberries are both coming in from adjacent yards under the fences, and are a bit more complicated. We may have to put some kind of barrier down if we can’t convince the neighbors to at least cut them back from the fence line, but I don’t love the idea of having to do that.

Not that particular combination, no- if you’ve had success with it it’s definitely worth a shot! I’ve been just removing them all by hand, very slowly, at this point. I’m hoping to put a local clover species in for ground cover when we’re done, in the hopes it outcompetes the foxtails.

I want to have a native garden that does benefit wildlife and attract insects, I’d even appreciate it if it was overgrown- but the foxtails are hazardous to any mammal that wanders into the yard as well. I spend a lot of time sweeping up ones that make it into the house.

Technically, maybe? After our current dog passes, though, I can’t have another one unless the foxtails can be managed, and the blackberry and bamboo are at risk of taking out our fences with our neighbors- and the running bamboo is not native and highly invasive.

We can do paypal, venmo, kofi, and someday i swear we will start using patreon better. We also are looking for norcal folks who might want to volunteer and help with media!

I’m so sad for the reason you’re in this position, but it is really exciting to think that you may be able to help save SO many cats down the road. It’s a beautiful way to honor their memory.

These were $20 a roll for a 4 foot by 100 foot roll, which is so much better than what we were looking at having to pay for the wire.

I like these a lot! The line work style kind of reminds me of TerribleKim’s stuff from like 2003 in a good way
