Bellingcat’s contact email has always been a magnet for people with fairly unusual views; paranoid delusions, sprawling conspiracies, the works. But recently, the pattern has shifted, we’re seeing more and more emails clearly written with ChatGPT.

"....I have seen people sum me up and dismiss me right while I was talking to them, as if what I am came through more clearly than any words I might choose to say. I see their eyes lose focus and settle elsewhere. Do they think that I don't realize?..."

I get that the news cycle is packed right now, but I just heard from a colleague at the Smithsonian that this is fully a GIANT SQUID BEING EATEN BY A SPERM WHALE and it’s possibly the first ever confirmed video according to a friend at NOAA

I appreciate what @atrupar.com does too. Not always pleasant, but always informative.
I think @atrupar.com doesn't get enough credit for watching Trump's nonsense and finding the best clips. I'd have put a gun in my mouth a long time ago if I had to do that.

😍
I like when the bokeh plays just as crucial of a role as the subject, with the background highlights acting as impressionist brush strokes.

I like this interplay between light and shade (Nōtan?), where the background becomes part of the subject, and the two form a whole.

What's funny is you can tell exactly why it output this string.

When it stole literally all of Stack Overflow, it stole tons and tons of people's explanations of how to make a program that produces random character strings.

One of the easiest ways to do so, contains *this* ASCII string.
Lmao this rules so hard

Awesome
I had this image in my head for a week. Between commissions and posting about stupid Russia, I finally found time to bring it to life.

It’s Ukraine-inspired, of course! The whole painting is made from recycled materials.

I tried to make a double ristretto, but ended up having to start again after a single shot. I ended up having a triple ristretto and then added milk foam. I’m calling this a tragic.

A meltdown isn’t over nothing.

It’s never over nothing.

It’s what happens when your needs have been ignored for too long.

When you’ve been overstimulated, dismissed, touched without consent, spoken over, denied food, denied rest, denied space, denied truth.
