It’s the difference between wanting to be something and wanting to do something. Doing is work, and they’d rather avoid that.
I get why techbros and their ilk like gen-AI: artists and writers to them are just an obstacle to be bypassed. But I'll never get an author/artist/musician who uses it. "I want to be a writer." No you don't. You fetishize ideas but hate the work. You don't respect the craft or its practitioners.

I avoid this sort of social content but I have a quick way to improve your book pitch/query letter: cut that rhetorical question at the front that you think is functioning like a pitch line. Just cut it! Any variant of "if XYZ, what would you do" or any other question up top. Remove it and prosper
