Many folks want to organize right now but aren’t sure how.

There are many ways; that’s the hard part AND the beauty of it.

This model by Leah Penniman, illustrated by Christine Tyler Hill, shows how comprehensive social change requires many strategies.

We need all of us.
Find your role and begin.

"Two barbecue pits, both alike in dignity
(In fair Lockhart Texas, where we lay our scene),
From ancient grudge break to new mutiny,
Where civil sauce makes civil hands unclean."

For almost 50 years, Donny's Place was a hub of LGBTQ culture in Pittsburgh. The former bar could become the first officially recognized queer historic site Western Pennsylvania. Efforts to preserve the shuttered Donny’s Place in Polish Hill will go to the Pittsburgh Historic Review Commission in February.

related but opposite fun fact: if you click on any google ad for an etsy item and buy anything from that store in the next 30 days, it costs the creator 12-15% on top of standard fees. so if you see something cool..... don't click, type it in
Fun fact: if you're buying from a creator on etsy, you can reduce their etsy selling fees from 6.5% to 2.5% by ordering via 'shopname.etsy.com' instead of 'etsy.com/shopname' or searching from the main site. It costs you the same but the creator makes more

Yup. Microsoft automatically switched me to the $99.99/year version with Spicy Autocomplete. You have to go all the way through "cancel subscription" to be presented these options and get the $69.99/year one you actually chose.

upon reflection, the things i did last year that i'm the most proud of is coordinating getting matching tattoos with five of my friends, and rounding up our whole crew together during a field session to mail a birthday card for our friends' dog. community has many forms!

You really are getting the sense that Zuck was resentful at having to treat LGBTQ people like human beings and the split second it became convenient for him not to he took it. He’s not reluctantly doing it, he’s not in touch with his employees about it, he’s racing for the button that lets him do it
Employee tells me: "I’ve never seen morale this low. Most folks expected some change with the incoming administration’s hostility to gay and trans people but this just feels vicious, almost gleeful”
