Not a Somerville thing. The MA plumbing board disapproved of them in Oct 2023. Cambridge hasn't installed any new ones since then either.

The zoning code in Selah, WA requires 2x as many parking spaces for mosques as any other religious building. This is totally legal and many people approved it. 😵💫

Building new buildings is the only way to create the inclusive world imagined by the ADA and Fair Housing Act amendments, but now it’s progressive to oppose changing the world because it’s just more “stuff”.
I understand the need to avoid infighting right now, but who’s fault is it? In functioning democracies, party leadership resigns when the party loses an election. It’s past time for new leadership.
