Suffice it to say, this proposal would be the opposite of what is needed for US transportation policy.

Part of me is glad Trump is now unconstrained, and is defacing and demeaning everything he touches.
It means that for the next three years we’ll have constant reminders not just of the need to defeat him, but also of the importance of ripping out Trumpism’s poisonous legacy and beginning anew.

Watching Mamdani's victory speech, I'm struck by his—and his campaign's—unabashed vision of the US as an immigrant society, a culture built from the ground up from diversity. It is a complete rejection and reversal of the search for a white-washed homogeneity that the political right projects.

I’m feeling so much better today about the opportunity to build a big tent coalition that saves the country from authoritarian rule & refocuses us on the important role government plays in our quality of life.

I will add this is also what Michelle Wu did— she’s not going to get as much attention tonight but that’s in part because she crushed her opponents so hard in the preliminary that she ended up uncontested tonight. Moral clarity and standing up for your neighbors is what wins.
