Why do we accept in #mapoli that the Senate President who lives in Metro West can dictate property tax policy for the city of Boston? It’s time for home rule reform.

BPI is making inroads in presenting itself as a think tank. Its BPS study by lone freelancer was *clearly* unvetted by peers.

Below, no disclosure that: 1) BPI funders are anonymous; 2) political strategists founded and continue to run BPI. Why?

BPI & Greg Maynard can block critics on this platform until the cows come home but it won’t change the reality that they represent a right wing dark money group interested in undermining Boston’s mayor at the expense of Boston homeowners and tenants. #mapoli media should cast light on this.

This is very disturbing and depraved government messaging. Bespeaks of a mentality that needs mental health evaluation.
we all got cowed into avoiding "virtue signaling" as if the public affirmation of socially agreed upon ethical principles was somehow cringey instead of a significant part of what a "society" even is. now all there's left is vice signaling, and it's reshaping society.

Because of a state law, residential property owners in Boston are projected to face a 13% tax spike next year.

Meanwhile, corporations will pay their lowest share of property taxes in 43 years.

I’m hosting an AMA on Reddit about our plan to protect homeowners and deliver residential tax relief.

The discourse around Boston property taxes is so deeply uninformed. I think today's Globe story does a great job explaining what's happening and why, and in particular unraveling the political forces that are almost as influential as the economics in this case.

This article is riddled with factual errors, misleading statements and downright stupid takes. It should be unworthy of any organization that wants to be taken seriously.
