Oddly enough, in media coverage of Dems' video warning against carrying out illegal orders, there's very little discussion of *whether it's actually reasonable to fear Trump is giving illegal commands or not.*

The evidence is strong that he is. Media should say so:

DOGE was created for data theft and infrastructure dismantling and it wildly succeeded on both counts within the first few weeks of its existence. It will take a generation to rebuild what it destroyed and the breach of data is unprecedented.
Bye bye, “DOGE”.

It no longer exists as a “centralized entity”, according to the Office of Personnel Management.

WELKER: Inflation has gone up. It's at 3% now up from 2% in April when the tariffs were imposed--

BESSENT: No, no no no. So, inflation hasn't gone up. The one thing we're not gonna do is do what the Biden administration did and tell the American people they don't know how they feel

Yep, one of the biggest drivers of the elite panic around “wokeness” was the increasing prominence of Black people and particularly Black women in their fields and we’re seeing that coalition rewarded with the targeting of Black workers.
Since February, according to my latest analysis, almost 600,000 Black women have been economically sidelined. The November 20, 2025, Jobs Report makes clear this isn’t a blip. It’s a structural crisis. That is not a recovery. It is a redistribution of opportunity.

if i was making this video today i would spend more time convincing the students what a scam it is that Unis are charging you $2000 for a course they care so little about they havnt hired the teacher yet or seen the syllabus until two days before the class starts
This (youtu.be/2AvfOhtmCZY?...) is an older @acollierastro.bsky.social video I must have missed, but it is brilliant in explaining the intensity of the bullshit of the adjunct system, for students and instructors.

This is very good. Clear, calm, factual, and devastating for proponents of bans on puberty blockers for trans youth.

Puberty blockers: why politicians overriding doctors sets a dangerous precedent
The government’s ban on puberty blockers undermines clinical expertise and targets trans youth with a policy that lacks evidence, consistency and fairness.

I just want to note that if you're removing the *CIA Mission Center* (presuming this is DIROPS/DO) lawyer because they won't sign off on your strike, you're almost certainly doing something seriously unlawful.

Those folks excel at obscure legal justifications in the "lawful but awful" category.
On the patently unlawful boat strikes

It's hard for USGs to claim ‘mistake of law’ or ‘advice of counsel’ – when they’re firing lawyers who wouldn't sign off on the strikes.

WaPo's new revelations on firings or removals:

1) CIA General Counsel
2) NSC Legal Adviser
3) CIA Mission Center’s lawyer

White House blew past legal concerns in deadly strikes on drug boats
The Trump administration sidestepped skeptical lawyers across national security agencies as it pursued a military campaign against alleged narcotraffickers, officials say.

pretty easy at this point to just assume anyone with no interest in them coming out is either in the files or has something to do with them being suppressed bsky.app/profile/eliz...
The Washington Post editorial board decided the Epstein files have “no public interest” before even seeing them. That’s a stunning position for any newsroom to take. Praising Clay Higgins as the lone ‘no’ vote, too? No wonder no one trusts legacy media. Absolutely disgusting.

Too many Dems see these votes as some masterful Republican trap they can't get out of when they're really an easy opportunity to highlight the dumb crap Republicans are spending their time on instead of addressing the cost of healthcare and groceries.
BREAKING: The House of Representatives voted 285–98 in favor of a resolution condemning socialism.

Eighty-six Democrats joined Republicans in supporting the measure, including House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries.

I have added an update to the article. There's a summary at the top now too.

Brooks is emblematic of the American intelligentsia; his entire career is built on indicting "the elites" (by which he means middle-class liberals) for being smug, self-indulgent, and insular, but he is deeply outraged by attempt to hold the actual commanding heights of power accountable.
Someday you, too, could have the moral fortitude to look upon a years-long rape circus organized by the nation's most powerful elites and declare, "The people upset about this are speaking about it the wrong way."
