I've been reading The Edge of Midnight chapter 8. And hot damn, is Starfleet in a clusterfuck and is losing badly in a fleet engagement. Like "there's indeed something wrong with our bloody starships today" indeed Captain Bavv-Mallen.

Also worth noting, it also protects others, it should be normal to not want to risk making others sick and not wanting to be sick yourself. I wish people would get that masks arent just a personal choice, not using one can affect everyone you meet.
Sometimes when people ask me why I’m wearing a mask I say I’m traveling or have some important thing soon and can’t afford to get sick and miss it and that’s pretty much always true but I think it would be nice if it were more normalized to just say “I don’t want to get sick” and leave it at that
