This morning I watched a grown man refuse to sign a dentist office cancellation policy bc it didn’t list an exceptions for emergencies.
It was such an awkward conversation that I was actually happy when they called my name to go see the dentist.

I’ve lost 17 lbs since February, leading to the discovery that my belly button piercing didn’t actually close up, I was just having trouble getting jewelry through it previously bc of my belly fat.
So anyway now I’m a 34 yr old walking around with a new belly button ring that no one will ever see.

Just to be clear, this is a violation of the fundamental ethical principle in clinical trial design called "equipoise."
Equipoise means that no-one is exposed to excess risk just to test the therapy. That's specifically *why* vaccine trials don't use placebo arms.
