A fun thing you can do is pop onto Zillow, look at all rentals in a random chunk of the greater LA area, sort by recently changed, then check every price increase to see if it was more than 10%. If there's no obvious changes (didn't go from unfurnished to furnished) then report it for price gouging.

I remember when people made fun of Snapchat for being an unintuitive shitty app you couldn't figure out how to navigate. Now it's every fucking app and increasingly more websites. They are built like a casino, as an endless fucking maze that keeps you there. Full of shit you didn't ask for.

If you haven’t watched City of Ghosts what are you waiting for?
Today in class (The Art of Creative Research) we watched all of City of Ghosts in a small movie theater. Revelatory to see it on the big screen. It is the most compassionate, wonderful show. My students loved it. I cried—many times. Including at this scene (below). Thank you @kikutowne.bsky.social.
