Gonna take a moment to applaud my mom for taking the initiative of hosting a fundraiser for / mini town hall with our local state senator, Andrew Gounardes.
Our collective eye is usually on federal government for obvious reasons, but local politics matter immensely and must not be neglected.

Unsolicited advice: please read through your own script before you send it to readers
A screenplay that’s riddled with typos, grammar errors, flip-flopping character names, references to deleted scenes etc is a surefire way to ensure your reader tunes out and skims it at best, nopes out at worst

“it's a loss for Office of Management and Budget chair Russell Vought, who had said he wanted as many as 10,000 federal employees terminated.”
Guess that’s something.

Has @realgdt.bsky.social seen BUFFET LIBRE yet, and if he hasn’t, what are the odds he’s going to love it
BUFFET LIBRE is like if Park Chan-Wook made Sweeney Todd. In Spain. In Chinese.
Excellent addition to the “good for her!” subgenre of horror.

I wrote about how American politicians love to blame foreigners and external actors for domestic problems, and how this often prevents us from understanding the real causes of those problems and solving them. Gift link:
