The DOE just cut multiple fields from the “professional degree” list, shrinking loan access for future workers. Nursing, PAs, PT, OT, audiology, public health, social work, & education master’s all got dropped.

And yes, they’re fields dominated by women.

Sixty-five years ago today, four first-graders desegregated New Orleans's public schools: Ruby Bridges at William Frantz Elementary School, and Leona Tate, Tessie Provost, and Gail Etienne at McDonogh 19 Elementary School. They faced violent mobs and threats to their lives. They were 6 years old. 🗃

Sandwich guy: not guilty! We can all be against violence, and yet see this prosecution as ridiculous because no one was hurt, and the intention was clearly not to hurt. Getting mustard on your uniform and onion on your radio does not count as assault.

I visited the apartment building ICE raided on Tuesday today. Story to come, but you can walk right in. Half of the apartments have no doors on them. Children's stuff abandoned in some flats. *Citizen* residents told me they were arrested and held for hours in zipties. This is America
