Thanks for your support Callan. We have just received news of substantial grant funding so the Deep Time Trail is going to be built on schedule. Would be great if we can hit the fundraising target and fully deliver the vision!

BGS' GeoIndex viewer has been given a major upgrade and is available as a beta release.

It includes core geological data layers, such as 625K- and 50K-scale digital geological mapping and borehole datasets, to allow for focused user testing.

The Radical Road by Salisbury Crags in Edinburgh has been closed for far too long. Today’s site visit went through the plans for phase 1 reopening from the top end as far as Hutton’s Rock in the south quarry. Due by Spring 2026.
