Amid turmoil, Trump heads to Florida for a golf event (again)
After setting much of the global economy — and retirement accounts — on fire, taking a golf trip isn’t a great look for Trump.

Imagine spending a half million dollars to attend Police State University, where you’ll get to experience NYPD brutality up close and where they might just revoke your degree for wrongthink even after you’ve graduated.
In a first for the Ivy League school, Columbia's new officers have the same powers of warrantless search and arrest as any other police officer under New York law. The state law permits the officers to use "physical force and deadly physical force in making an arrest or preventing an escape."
Columbia University's new campus patrol officers appointed by New York Police Department
The 36 new special patrol officers announced last month by Columbia University were appointed by the New York Police Department and will be subject to the orders of the police commissioner, an arrangement confirmed by a Columbia spokesperson this week.

The Jewish student protestors say university delegates are telling them they are obstructing a university facility. The gate to which they are chained has been locked for months and has a lock on it put there by the university. There are a lot of cops here.

This is the single question every media outlet should be asking.

Who sits on the Harvard/Columbia/NU board of trustees?

Why are they helping Trump topple higher Ed?

Why do they show such disdain for their own people?

(Ok 3 questions.)

In the NYT right now, from a Justice Dept lawyer: “I will tell you right now that Columbia has not in my opinion — and the opinion of the Department of Justice — has not cleaned up their act,” Mr. Terrell said. “They’re not even close, not even close to having those funds unfrozen.”

I’m told this is a real letter. It basically says, “We’ll destroy Columbia unless you destroy it first.”
