And that’s it, that’s all it takes to shift a white man into the column of “enemy of the state”
“.. He cared about people deeply ..,” said Michael Pretti, Alex’s father. “He thought it was terrible, you know, kidnapping children, just grabbing people off the street. He cared about those people, and he knew it was wrong ..”

New Indiana University social media antisemitism report. tl;dr: we used a definition of AS (IHRA) that codes lots of anti-Zionism as AS and behold, we found that most social media posts critical of Israel (at time of hostage release Oct 2025) were antisemitic. isca.indiana.edu/publication-...

Such a weirdly written article. “Finally, a trusted adviser looked up from his bowl of matzo ball soup and weighed in.”
She’s a billionaire. He’s a socialist. Can they get along?
Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Tisch have little in common. But both their political futures hinge on the safety of the city.

Forgive me for always reading Davos as the Ashkenazi pronunciation of the Hebrew Davot (“sick women”).

This guy was a full on criminal of the most comicbook sort, and yet, look, maybe deporting him wasn’t such a great idea, because now he has escaped his criminal trial, leaving his victims without justice.

Yes, invest in Seattle center (and get our local billionaires to pay for a big chunk of it (emblazon their names on the buildings for all I care). Seattle Center is an absolute treasure, a huge urban asset, and has so much potential.
Seattle Center is fraying. Will the city pick up the billion-dollar tab?
Bigger crowds and aging facilities add urgency to proposals for repairing and sprucing up Seattle Center. But there’s stiff competition for taxpayers’ money.

Any Seattle employer offering free orca (transit) cards to employees should cover bike share monthly subscriptions ,too, for anyone who wants, during the I-5 closures. This would be a huge benefit to commuters and reduce car trips even more.

Ok fine, rein it in, put it in the stables, brick up the walls of the stables for a year until it dies, and then drag it out, bury it, and consider it abolished.

Kid suggests we play “word, not a word” in which we add every letter of the alphabet to the front of an ending and see what’s a word. The ending is “ight.” Aight. Not a word. Bight…um, it’s complicated. “No, it has to be yes or no.” I prevailed to allow “yes” “no” and “sort of.”
