The pain and hurt that man has caused with the lies he printed about Hillsborough should have been the end of him.
Robbie Gibb should resign for this error of judgment. I’m not joking

Sky News just had Kelvin Mackenzie on, former editor of The Sun, one of the people at the centre of probably the most disgraceful front page in newspaper history, complaining about BBC journalists not being objective and 'fake news'. Astonishing. ~AA

Casual reminder that the myth of “pulling yourself up by your bootstraps” is a cruel hoax designed to convince poor people from all walks of life that the injustices they face are a result of their own actions, rather than an oppressive system rigged against them.

Prince William who doesn't even need to be there, went to the UN Climate Conference on a Private Jet.
He doesn't give the slightest toss about Climate Change, only getting publicity for doing nothing.

I know the skies used to be filled with birds that are now extinct.
I know that change can happen and that it is usually permanent. That is the real status quo.
What we do matters. It’s counter intuitive but often inaction leads to change and it takes effort and energy to maintain stasis.

To think that it belittles a person to acknowledge the biological reality of their female body, you'd have to believe that femaleness is inferior to maleness.
That's classic patriarchal misogyny.

Knowing that only people born 25 years ago are 25-year-olds doesn't "break us down to our dates of birth". It simply acknowledges material reality.

💯 this whole thread. fucking depressing and infuriating, but a necessary read.
Dark humor things I think about lately is the fact that I haven’t heard people say the phrase “we have the tools” regarding Covid anymore.
National stockpiles haven’t been replenished, variant surveillance is dying, wastewater surveillance isn’t standardized, mask bans are being pushed…

1️⃣Wouldn't normally share anything from GB news, but listening to Peter talking BS, I had to.
This was because BBC News is accused of not making the sex of criminal perpetrators or sports people clear when they claim to have a gender identity, so confusing the audience.
