I like how the NYT tried to do a “some experts say” framing, and the expert was like, you do not need an expert opinion to see this is bad.

I didn't take pics but the feeling of being in a group of people with no visible beginning or end was so thrilling. The opposite of online anomie, and a living counterpoint to the wary, isolated, compartmentalized world the shitheads want to make. It's simple and obvious I guess but it means a lot.
Sorry to be corny but the aerial shots of these crowds are almost indescribably moving and hopeful

At first, I felt like I had freaking super powers. Like a PI with a nearly infinite supply of talented lab members, who worked at 1000x speed. It was exhilarating.

But then, the cracks started to show. TL;DR: If Claude were my grad student, I'd kick them out of my lab.

"But the fact that some geniuses were laughed at does not imply that all who are laughed at are geniuses. They laughed at Columbus, they laughed at Fulton, they laughed at the Wright brothers. But they also laughed at Bozo the Clown." -Carl Sagan
And it's important to note that for every Galileo or Alfred Wegener or Walter and Luis Alvarez there are at least 99 Andrew Wakefields. Some people question the scientific consensus because they're onto something but statistically speaking, many more are mistaken or outright cranks.
Also quickly falls into the Galileo Fallacy. Just because people disagree with you doesn't mean you're right. Statistically you're probably wrong.

There's no question that today's tariff announcement will give the United States the highest tariff rates of any industrialized country. And it's not even close.
