I thought the bluebirds had moved on—nothing at all yesterday—and then at 6:00am today, all four were sitting above the feeder waiting (photo from an hour later—it was dark and I was on a sheet of ice carrying bird seed and meal worms 😐) 🪶

Out early between downpours. Waiting for the wind wilding. Somewhere in the distance a clink of milk bottles punctuates the song of the sirens and the wailing of gulls. A flickering of light illuminates the water. The other world continues undisturbed, inhabitants still sleeping.

So far, Bluesky seems a lot friendlier and a happier place to hang out than X.

But it's early days, the ignorant and abusive hide in wait everywhere..

Everybody praises Dolly Parton for writing both Jolene and 9 To 5 in the same day, but that's only 549 words. Assuming she did work 9 to 5 that day (with an hour for lunch) she typed at a rate of 1.3 words per minute. That's not impressive at all. She should be fired.

It's a cool ish climate in the north, but contrary to belief across the Pond, the SE of the UK is often hot in summer now..and the winters in the south and south east unremarkable. We had no snow at all last winter in London.

Should never have been restricted in the first place.
I'm torn between this is a good start and, why isn't free movement offered to every Brit, including those of us over 30?

What's your view? Is this the right approach or should Labour be more ambitious?
