15 years sober today. I’m very grateful for everyone who has helped me get here, in big and small ways.
Not everyone needs sobriety but man, I sure did. Life is so much better, even when things are hard, as they inevitably are sometimes. And the good times are more joyful.

US culture has spent an enormous amount of time and energy telling people that a humanities education is especially useless and lame and they just need to get a job. so the games and tech industry are just dominated by people who don't know anything about art and don't care about art.

a great crime of capitalism to me is how a lot of art (like, say, My Dinner With Andre) ends up taking on the role of an empty signifier of a particular type of person who will wield it as something "not for you" if you're below a certain income bracket or education level. art is for everyone
