Kinda just signed up for this to follow people whose tweets I've enjoyed reading, but hey (he/him)
I had a Pryde of the X-Men cel years ago. Admittedly not a very impressive one, but it was of Prof. Xavier sitting in his chair pulling up video of the X-Men or something. I sold it and it only went for a few bucks, if I recall. Oh well. Love this plot, though, it has the whole Sunbow Studios style

Pretty great taste in books there in your household! I still need to get that DC one, love those DK books titles

For what it's worth, I really dig your channel and am glad that I stumbled upon it this year! As someone who last played these games in the early '90s, I hadn't really known of the depth of Sierra/adventure game fandom, and all the weird/cool stuff I missed. My son and I loved your Rednex videos!

Also, my son beat his first ever MK arcade ladder today (MK4 with Johnny Cage)!

Mega Man totally has Commander Keen face in that stage select screenshot

I'm loving it! (I think I saw you too!) Also reminded me that I definitely need to get to Galloping Ghost one of these days.

Nice, I got MK Legacy Kollection physical today so am planning on doing a bit of that myself! So far, mostly just surprised how ass I am at MK games since mostly playing SF6 for the past year or so.

I somehow missed out on all this initially, probably because I somehow convinced myself / felt peer-pressured that I was too old for video games and comics at age 15. But then sometime in high school someone casually mentioned X-Men vs. Street Fighter and I was like WHAAAA

So much online discourse falls into that spot for me these days, honestly

Oh hells yeah! Nothing like a good Wolverine vs. Hulk matchup in a Marvel Vs. game, as well. Brown costume is great too!

US culture has spent an enormous amount of time and energy telling people that a humanities education is especially useless and lame and they just need to get a job. so the games and tech industry are just dominated by people who don't know anything about art and don't care about art.

The whole issue is giving Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends, or whatever episode of an '80s Spidey cartoon had the X-Men in it, and everything was just "off"

Jeez, Kollection, what's wrong with me

I've been saving this gif for when I might potentially see you in the MK: Legacy Collection documentary footage!

I read a Marvel Team-Up annual tonight from 1976 where Spidey meets the "new" X-Men. It had some really off-model art, including Colossus with pupils and Storm looking kinda... green? It was just a weird, disappointing read, but mostly because of how early and out-of-character everyone looked/acted.

Don't forget the underwater boss in Cap and the Avengers named MECH. TACO

That's awesome. I loved Smash TV; I feel like I was already all-in on the bizarre / gross vibe that it set the pace for and later games expanded on. Also, I think there's a punk or hardcore band called Mutoid Man, so clearly they have good taste in games
