Since I see we're now talking about protestors as terrorists, now is a good opportunity to bump this study by @ayakter.bsky.social and me. We found that labeling non-violence as terrorism works best w. centrist voters who lacked strong frames for interpretation.
Terrorism is not an ideology. It’s a tool.

The NYT has proven time and again that it is willing to report extraordinarily negative things about Arabs and Muslims based on flimsy evidence it would never accept for claims involving other groups. Apparently this attitude extends towards its own Middle Eastern or North African employees.
