Instead of funding things, and possibly even helping reduce crime rates by supporting people, instead we're just going to do away with jury trials!

This government is frighteningly horrific.

Labour's MPs are just knee jerk tyrants. Their solution to every problem is suppression of opinion.

Alternatively they could scrap outsourcing in the court systems and use the money to hire enough staff to process cases quickly and democratically.
Why wasnt scrapping lots of jury trials in Labs manifesto?

Lab MP Lola McEvoy says they weren't aware of how bad the situation was

Stephen Flynn says parliament was aware & it was a big issue pre election

McEvoy says she wasn't in parliament then. Flynn points out Starmer was

Energy transitions can happen faster than we think:

In 2000 almost 90% of Denmark's electricity was from fossil fuels.

In 2024 less than 10% of Danish electricity was from fossil fuels.

I see the Red Tory apologists are out in force. One rule for them, another for everyone else

The truth is that Labour, Tory and Reform are all part of the same problem. Until we stop voting for these charlatans nothing will fundamentally change

Hurrah! More pointless wasteful government spaffage. So glad that Labour turned out to be nothing like the Tories.

The Government sees it as a “moral duty” to cut disability benefits.

I see it as a moral duty to call them ableist pieces of shit who want to kill disabled people.

The real moral duty should be to end poverty and tax the rich

Unionists support in Scotland tends to cluster around the unionist party that’s perceived to be doing best at the time. The same dynamic that gave Labour 37 Scottish MPs is going to see these people shoved straight into the bin.

The government’s proposals to remove our human right to a fair trial be jury, that was established by Magna Carta, is being taken away by the dishonest use of pretext politics. The problem is not jury trials it is other, fixable, problems with the court/remand system.
Here is a list of reasons why some of my hearings and trials this year have been delayed and kicked off into the long grass, stuck in our record court backlog. Serious allegations which will now be tried *years* after the event. 🧵👇

The government handed an NHS data contract to Palantir – a spy-tech firm with links to war crimes and deportations.

We’re demanding that the NHS stops using Palantir’s toxic tech.

Revealed: MPs rack up huge rent expenses while pushing through cuts to benefits
MPs are allowed to rent a second home, but while they are simultaneously cutting benefits for the vulnerable, the cost feels hard to swallow.

"That is a political mission, it is a personal mission"

"I don't want hundreds of thousands of children in this country living in poverty"
