Almost certainly the best thing I was ever told about owls was when I met an owl handler at an owl sanctuary and he told me that the wild owls who lived near the sanctuary worried about the tame show owls there and sometimes stopped by to leave them shrews and mice as presents.

I don't think I realized who painful the scroll holding, lobster riding mouse shaped hole is in my life, till I gazed upon this here post.

Come to mama.
Heal my wound.
First up: scientists said it couldn't be done. But we put our logo on a scroll, and then got a mouse to hold it while riding a lobster.

Be wowed:

Happy Space Halloween! ✨🎃
Just to put a smile on your face, let's remember when Senator Mark Kelly sent his twin Scott a gorilla suit on an ISS resupply (which blew up in 2015), then sent him a SECOND gorilla suit, which Scott used to scare the hell out of British astronaut Tim Peake.

I admire the determination to a gag.

Alt: A camera on the ISS captures a man (British astronaut Tim Peake) swimming wildly out of control through microgravity, while pursued by gorilla (actually Scott Kelly in a gorilla suit). There's a soft-sided storage container that Tim has to shove aside to get through a connector. It's a comical effect.

Aw man. Ozzy, then Chuck Mangione and now Loni. How many original members of Black Sabbath are still alive?
Loni Anderson, the Emmy-nominated star of WKRP in Cincinnati, has died.

She was 79.

Got re-upped here, and a good thing too since Ontario is just handing out measles like party favors at the previously eliminated disease party we’re all attending
Test your titers, folks! With RFK Jr. doing his best to bring back measles while sabotaging the miracle that is our modern vaccine safety net, I checked mine and learned — surprise! — whatever measles immunity I once might have had, I'd lost. So I got another shot ... while I still could.
US adds 17 more measles cases as Georgia, Iowa report new infections

With 1,214 confirmed cases, the US is inching closer to the highest number of cases reported in a single year since the disease was eliminated from the country in 2000.

We are so excited to announce that Titan Books has signed a three-book deal with Delilah S. Dawson starting with HOUSE OF IDYLL! 🖤

Two more horror novels will follow in 2026 and 2027, in the same bitingly sharp, witty, feminist style Dawson has become known for.

All the way back to Vampire of the Mists, you'll see lots of Easter eggs and callbacks. I wanted to write a book that was friendly and accessible to everyone. No more gatekeeping, just idiots taking risks as they grow stronger and go on an adventure together. It's out today. I hope you dig it! 9/9

Fun Facts about Heir of Strahd: Each character has a 5e Character Sheet and spell list. During the fights, many dice were rolled. If you read the book, you'll know which character the dice hate. Oh, and the Tarokka cards were consulted more than once.
